About Mitch Case

Mitch Case is a former Connecticut All-State player and and Little East Conference #1 Doubles Champion. He has been a tennis instructor since 1998 and a racquet stringer since 1995.

In 2005, Mitch decided to take his passion for tennis and make it his full time career. After working as a assistant/staff pro and the Norfolk Country Club, and as private coach for high performance high school players, he became certified as a Pro by the Professional Tennis Registry in 2006.

In addition to teaching privately and at the Norfolk Country Club from 1998-2008, Mitch also coached the Shepaug Valley Regional High School Boys Tennis Team from 2006-2008, and was the Director of Junior Player Development at Pinewoods Health and Racquet Club.

Currently, Mitch is the Director of Tennis at Woodridge Lake in Goshen, CT during the summer season; a Staff Pro at Pinewoods Health and Racquet Club and Farmington Valley Racquet Club during the indoor season; and the Head Coach of the Northwestern Regional High School Boys Tennis Team during the spring season.

Testimonials

Some generous words from our clients
Mitch Case is a class act. Professional, organized, detailed, patient, and kind, he is surely one of the top tennis professionals in Connecticut, if not New England. Not only improved my game and kept my racquets in top competitive form, but also inspired me to become a tennis coach.

Matt M.

Arguably my largest tennis inspiration, Mitch not only has improved my game through the many clinics and lessons I’ve taken with him, but has proven to me his skill with all ages while working together at Woodridge Lake. Everything Mitch has ever done for my game and equipment have been done with quality, and have only improved my game.

Kevin B.

Plain and simple, no one I’ve met knows the game, or the technology better than Mitch. After a few minutes with him it seems ridiculous to take tennis advice from anyone else.

Trevor R.

What makes Mitch so effective is his observational skills. He is able to suggest clear, attainable corrections that enable you to excel much faster under his direction. So many instructors have a one size fits all methodology to teaching tennis, Mitch customizes instruction like no other pro I have ever hit with. His ability to motivate and nurture children on court makes him a complete pro and gifted teacher.

Dag F.

As a teaching professional and a stringer, Mitch is passionate and observant. While some pros robotically feed balls, Mitch uniquely designs each lesson to challenge and improve the particular player–no matter what his or her level of fitness, tennis ability or age. When I suffered an injury last year, Mitch worked with me to figure out how I needed to change my forehand to take pressure off my shoulder and arm. He also helped me select a racquet that was easier on the arm and customized it to further reduce the risk of re-injury. I am forever indebted to Mitch for the thought he has put into my game and for making me a better player.

Ashley R.

Mitch is a talented and inspirational pro. His positive teaching style and demonstrations of particular shots are excellent teaching tools. Additionally, his reference to the top players and their strategies is very helpful. Realistic drills, visual imaging, and his enthusiasm for teaching make Mitch a terrific coach.

Barb H.

I have known Mitch for over 10 years. As a coach he is insightful, and has an extremely strong understanding of the game. His ability to connect with his players, and to bring out the very best in their game is unparalleled. Not only is he a great coach, but a great a guy as well.

Dash F.

I learned everything I know about tennis from Mitch Case. He started teaching me long before he became a certified professional. I still go to him for lessons. He is a natural teacher. From my experience, as well as friend’s, I know that Mitch gives clear explanations and demonstrations no matter what type of learner (visual, auditory, mixed, etc) he is teaching. He is continually expanding upon his tennis knowledge, and he is always eager to share newly acquired tennis tidbits with me. Mitch worked at my tennis club for over a decade, and I can testify that he is a very hard worker. He is one of the most dedicated people I have ever met.

Alex R.

Mitch has restrung many racquets for us. We have had no issues, and the best thing is he is able to adjust the strings to fit the player. My son was breaking strings constantly and Mitch suggested a stronger hybrid. Keep up the good work, Mitch!
